I am a PhD student at LSU in Sociology. I completed degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and History. My informal concentrations in History were Plantagenet through Stuart England and Republican through Imperial Rome. I went to elementary, middle, and high school in Virginia, but know the math Common Core Standards very well. I also have a strong background in elementary through underclassmen mathematics.
Experience
I am an AP National Scholar (Granted to students in the United States who receive an average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 4 or higher on eight or more of these exams) and took 13 AP classes during my high school career. I scored a 31 as my best composite score on the ACT, but made a 34 in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science individually. I have worked as a math tutor with a private company for the last four years for grades first through twelfth. I have worked with special needs students throughout all of my tutoring experience. In particular I have worked with students who have ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and Dysgraphia.
