I'm currently attending North Central College for my bachelor's degree in Spanish and global studies. I've had the opportunity to study in Chile and serve a missions project in Ecuador. When I was in Chile, I studied Spanish and conducted independent research. I also had the opportunity to be immersed in the language and culture. I'm looking to continue studying after I graduate to pursue a Spanish translation masters, and I would like to get into a non-profit with an international presence. I really enjoy helping people learn to speak the Spanish language, especially when it is for travel. I'm also comfortable tutoring students in writing, English, literature, poetry, reading, and other subjects in English field, along with Latin American history and test preparation. When I work with students, I encourage a lot of practice and persistence. I am patient and empathetic with my students, and I believe that if I can get them to keep trying, they will make progress. I explained to students how concepts we study are used in the real world and why they are important, which helps students better understand and develop an interest in complex material. In my free time, I enjoy bike rides, reading, and travel.
