I attended Southern University A&M, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. For fifteen years, I worked in the oil industry as an accountant. When I decided I needed a career change, I enrolled at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. I earned an MS in Clinical Mental Health, with a focus on substance abuse and addiction. When I was in accounting, I taught the applications pertinent to performing the job to coworkers at my company. As a tutor, I am qualified on many subjects, but I like to focus on English and study skills. Without fluency in these areas, there is little chance for true academic success.Learning is a lifelong thing. It never stops and is a crucial part of every existence. When you are educated, you then have a duty to educate the world around you. I aim to bring inspiration to those who crave the knowledge I posses. My approach involves preparing individuals for thriving in a modern-day world. I teach critical thinking, so students will be able to decipher the news and effectively interact with a melting pot of citizens. Eventually, the people I've taught can go on to share the wealth.
